Japan is having its “once in a millennium” Samurai contest.
After several years of pretrials, three of the greatest samurais are meeting in Tokyo.

In a large arena, the first samurai stood in the middle of a 20-foot square. He is from Nagasaki. One of the judges opened up a small box and let a little fly out of it. Within an instant “SWOOSH” a gleaming sword pierced through the air and the fly was cut in half. There was a roar in the crowd with appreciation for this samurai’s skill with the blade. People were shouting and doing the ‘wave’.

The second samurai, from Hiroshima, stood in the middle of the square. Another judge opened up a small box letting a fly out of it. Then the air was disturbed with a “SWOOSH-SWISH”….the fly was cut in three pieces. The crowd went wild and crazy, sending confetti and cheers. It was deafening.

The last samurai, the home town favorite from Tokyo, walked into the middle of the square. It was quiet. Oh, so quiet….
The crowd was riveted in their seats. The last judge brought a small box to the square. He opened it and let a small fly out of it.
Then “SWOOSH”, the fly just flew away.

The crowd was silent….confused…

The samurai lifted his head and claimed,”Ahh….that is one fly that will never reproduce!”
